Quinleighblu Golden Retrievers

Besides me (Quincey), Quinleighblu is home to 4  generations of Goldens!!

 Payton, Jade, Ice, Luna, Tac, Titan, Eli, Sterling,Quinn, Gunnie and Gideon We are loved and cared for by the Lackey,Lackey-Deger, and Scriber families all Waterloo Region, Ontario.Keep reading to see how we all came about.

How was Quinleighblu born?

Our mom (Helen) has had Goldens since 1993. It was a dream of hers for over six years and it began when she saw her first obedience trial. She was hooked! Now all she had to do was get the rest of her family to buy into her dream.  Well, they must have, because now we have  been a golden haven for over 27 years!!

It's all in the name!!!

Quinleighblu is a family chosen name, it was only fitting that when the family all fell in love with Goldens that the kennel name had to be the reason the family fell in love!  Quin is for Quincey, Leigh is for Kayleigh and Blu is for Blue, the first 3 Goldens, the reason we fell in love with the breed!                                         (above photo Kayleigh, Blue and Quincey  left-right)

The goal around here is to breed happy, healthy dogs that have beauty and brains. We know GOLDENS are the "I can do everything Dog". We have the drive to do field/obedience work and we're good looking to boot, so we get those ribbons in the conformation ring too. But the main goal around here is to breed man's/woman's/family's best friend, so all our breeding dogs have hip, elbow, eye and heart clearances before being bred and all our babies are home raised with the help of the whole family to ensure healthy, well adjusted, socialized family companions!

Now in 2020 there is one big extended family of  Goldens !!! -   Payton, Ice,Jade, Luna, Tac, Titan,Sterling,Eli,and Gideon,Quinn. Check out the Our Dogs page to find out more about us.
